If you're tired of the traditional orange, red, and black fall decor, I have six new
0:09
trendy color combos for fall that you're going to love. Hi, I'm Lindsay Diane from Diane Decor.com and in this video we're going to explore six
0:20
new color combos for fall that are anything but traditional. Let's get started
0:26
The first color combination is eucalyptus and cream. Now eucalyptus and cream has been gaining popularity over the past few years
0:36
It's great if you like that light, bright, neutral interior and you don't want to weigh it down
0:42
with a lot of rich fall colors. The fall and autumn season come with a lot of deep oranges and browns and blacks
0:53
And to lighten it up, you can just go with. with a cream sort of whitewashed base of cream pumpkins or cream acorns along with a cream sort of
1:05
table scape if you're thinking about Thanksgiving and then pepper in some just green eucalyptus
1:12
here and there throughout your arrangements and you'll have a really classy looking light
1:18
and bright color scheme for fall. Green eucalyptus garland is easy to find this time of year
1:25
especially on Amazon or other crafting sites like craft outlet. They'll have really great deals on wired garland
1:35
So you can use it on your mantle. You could also opt to run it down like your table runner in your dining room
1:41
and help create a really beautiful centerpiece. Of course, you could use it on countertops or even above your kitchen cabinets
1:50
Then just pepper in some cream accents like cream pumpkins, candles, acorns and you have a nice understated look for the fall Another trendy color combination is copper and cream So this is piggybacking on that cream and eucalyptus
2:08
You often see those three together, copper cream and eucalyptus. Now, the copper is going to come in and add a nice little metallic accent to an otherwise
2:20
usually rustic-looking decor scheme for fall. So while you may have cream ceramic pumpkins or plastic pumpkins, adding in some like hammered metal copper vases or candle holders or mugs, or you can even find hammered metal pumpkins that are in a copper finish that will add a nice variation to your color scheme and to your decor
2:49
The third color scheme is navy, copper, and eucalyptus. So if you like that green blue family, this might be one to try
3:01
You're going to have those rich colors of fall with the copper and the navy
3:08
and then you're going to have the eucalyptus to kind of brighten it up just a little bit
3:12
But really, you are staying in that green, blue color family. So if you already have lots of things in your home that are going along those color schemes
3:21
maybe think about that for fall. You won't have to switch so many things up or have to coordinate complementary colors if you already have those going on in your home
3:32
Now, navy is a rather unconventional color for the fall, but it really works well with the eucalyptus and the copper
3:41
Traditionally, we think of navy and ocean blues for the summertime. But in the fall, it creates a nice richness without being too loud
3:51
So if you still want to have some rich colors but you don necessarily want that burnt orange and the deep maroons or burgundy or reds consider using navy instead And you can go navy eucalyptus and copper You could even go navy with some grays as well and that will create a nice rich colorful interior without being over the top
4:17
The next is Amber and Aqua. This is one of my personal favorites
4:23
I love seeing the yellow tones of fall, but having that blue splash in there is really nice
4:30
and Amber and Aqua are a beautiful midpoint if you want to have color but you don't want it to be
4:37
too heavy too rich and to drag down the light of your interior consider Amber and Aqua
4:44
it's sort of like taking that orange and toning it down a bit into that yellow orange family
4:50
and taking that navy and toning that down a bit and lightening it to a nice Aqua it's just that
4:57
perfect midpoint and I have found that there are a lot of new decor items being released in the
5:06
stores Hobby Lobby, Target, Michaels that are following this color scheme that amber, aqua, and
5:16
white is very, very popular right now so you won't have a hard time finding accents in that
5:22
color. Now, if you want a really soft, feminine look to your fall decor, consider going with
5:31
blush and cream for your color combination. Now, this is a very unconventional color palette
5:39
for the fall. Normally, you see blush and cream in the springtime or in the summer, but in the
5:45
fall, it can be done as well, especially, again, because the white pumpkins and the cream pumpkins are
5:51
so, so popular, you can splash in other colors through your florals, through your table linens
5:59
and through candlesticks and other accents really really easily So cream and blush for your tablescape or even for you know whether it your coffee table whether it your Thanksgiving table or whether you just want to pepper around little vignettes around your home for fall it going to be easy to make a spread with cream and blush
6:25
And of course, eucalyptus is always readily available. And so if you want that extra color, go ahead and layer in some eucalyptus underneath some of your vignettes
6:36
And you're going to have a really beautiful look for fall. Last but not least is amber, brown, and cream
6:44
Now, if your interior is anywhere in the transitional, traditional, traditional, contemporary, organic, modern sort of realm
6:55
then amber and cream are going to be the colors for you. These are very understated colors, but they are rooted in earth tones
7:06
Nothing is too bright in your face, but it is also still leaning towards fall
7:12
It's leaning towards an organic fall. The colors of the leaves are changing, and amber is certainly amongst them
7:20
When you pair that with the light and bright cream, you have a nice contemporary modern look
7:27
and amber cream is just a fantastic pairing for fall. That's it for this video
7:34
I hope you found it helpful, and I hope you found some good ideas
7:38
for some non-traditional fall color combinations. These are all really trendy right now
7:45
and you should have no problem kind of piecing them together from what you see in stores
