If you’re excitedly welcoming fall with open arms, you’re not alone.  I’ve been patiently waiting for fall decor since… well, January.  This is by far my favorite time of year.

Friends and family gatherings, special meals, and all the beautiful decorations make fall and winter something special.  This year we’re seeing many more unconventional fall color combinations.

In this post, we’ll explore six trendy fall decor color schemes.  Let’s take a look.

6 Trendy Fall Decor Color Schemes

The past few years have brought us more and more options for fall colors.  Many of which, stay within neutral color families.

However, this year we’re seeing subtle pops of color mixed with neutrals.  This is creating some really soft and sophisticated looks for fall that you have to see.

1. Eucalyptus and Cream

First up, and possibly my favorite is eucalyptus and cream.

I recall seeing these colors quite a bit last year as well.  But, with pistachio green being all the rage in fall fashion, we’re seeing eucalyptus (a similar color) themed decor on the rise.

Not only are we seeing the color, but also faux eucalyptus branches and garland as well.

This tablescape example from onsuttonplace.com features this color combo.  It’s a really lovely, neutral look.

2. Copper and Cream

If you like working metals into your home decor, try copper and cream this season.  It’s a gorgeous color combination that works with a multitude of home decor styles.

If your space has a modern industrial feel, I think this will work especially well.  Much like amber and cream (discussed later on), these colors create a wonderful balance of feminine and masculine decor elements.

3. Navy, Copper, and Eucalyptus

A rather unconventional color combination for the fall is navy and eucalyptus with a pop of copper.

This is a rich, vibrant color story without being too loud.

If you want a bit more excitement with your interior style this year, consider this color scheme.  It’s sure to garner comments from guests.

This gorgeous example below from cottonstem.com is bold yet inviting.

4. Amber and Aqua

Here’s another example of rich colors outside of the traditional orange, red, and brown autumn themes.

Although there are often varying shades of amber, ranging between yellowish gold and reddish-brown, all work well with aqua blue.

This vintage-inspired tablescape featured on cassiebustamante.com is an awesome illustration of this color combo’s potential.

5. Copper and Blush

If you’re a fan of rose gold, you’ll likely find copper and blush appealing.

Together, these colors create a feminine, Hollywood Glam sort of look.  By no means are these traditional fall colors, but they look nice all the same.

On Pinterest, I found several examples of this color combo in action.  Below is a look at a copper and blush tablescape from Maisondepax.com.

This setup is really impressive.  It’s a little bit rustic and a little bit feminine all at the same time.

Essentially, rustic chic and I love it!

6. Amber and Cream

If your style is trending more towards the traditional, transitional, or contemporary end of the spectrum, then amber and cream may be the way to go.  There are lots of cream, beige, and gray colors used in contemporary decor.

In traditional decor you see more of the deeper brown wood tones featured.  And in transitional, you see a bit of both.

So, if you’re anywhere in this ballpark with your interior style, the color coupling of amber and cream may fit in perfectly with what you already have going on in your home.
