Cheap home decor websites that offer a great selection of good quality decor are all over the place. Unfortunately, in the online space, their voices are often drowned out by the big retailers.
We all know and love the standards. Wayfair, Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc. But, there can be a downside to only shopping at big retailers.
The biggest con being the fact that their vast inventory can be downright overwhelming. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been searching for something as simple as a planter and lost 2 hours of my evening just browsing and clicking.
Too many choices often leads to indecision. In the end, I will bookmark 20 different planters and buy none.
However, if I’d visited a smaller retailer that also offers great prices and quality, I’m much more likely to select and actually purchase something.
It’s easy to decide between 35 or 40 vases. It’s nearly impossible to select 1 from 2500 options.
So, if you’ve found yourself in a rut of shopping at the same 5 stores for home decor and can’t find anything that thrills you, this post is for you.
Here I’ll share 15 cheap home decor websites that you’ve probably never heard about.
15 Cheap Home Decor Websites
High-style affordable home accents can be hard to come by on a budget.
However, DesignerLiving.com has an amazing selection of home accessories and decor that are super stylish and at a great price.
I especially love browsing through their wall art selection. They have unique items like carved wall panel sets that are hard to find at other retailers.
If you’re looking for an alternative to a basic framed print or canvas wall art, check out this site. There are a lot of things here that will gorgeous statement pieces for any room in your home.
Grandin Road is another place to find really high-end-looking home accents at affordable prices.
You’ll find the best deals here are on small decorative accents like trays, baskets, and jars. Their faux floral stems are also priced well and most come in sets of 3.
Their furniture selection is reasonably priced for the style and quality you’re getting. You won’t find much in this category under $300, but you won’t be paying thousands either.
So, if you’re looking for a nice statement piece with a budget of $300 – $600 I recommend checking out their selection.
Hayneedle is owned by Walmart and you can expect Walmart prices on this site as well.
Many of the same product listings that are on Walmart’s website you can find on Hayneedle.com as well.
The thing that I like about Hayneedle the most is that the site is focused in on items for the home.
Because Walmart is such an expansive marketplace offering items in hundreds of different categories, you often run into irrelevant search results.
For instance, if I’m trying to decorate my daughter’s room in a unicorn theme and go to Walmart and search “unicorn”, I’m seeing unicorn dolls, stickers, bikes, blankets, and even Unicorn Funfetti pancake mix.
Because there’s so much stuff on their site, I then have to start filtering out categories.
This method works just fine if you know exactly what you want, but if you’re just browsing for ideas and want to see what’s available it could take you forever.
Alternatively, you can head over to Hayneedle, search “unicorn” and only see results that could be used to put together a themed room.
This makes Hayneedle a great alternative to shopping on Walmart.com. It’s easier, faster, and you’re still getting the same low prices.
And while this list isn’t necessarily in order, this website is one of the best cheap home decor websites to shop online, in my opinion.
If you’re shopping for home accessories with a budget of $25 – $100, Mud-Pie is a great site to visit.
Some cheap home decor websites sell things that are just that, cheap. Mud-Pie is not one of those places.
They have a lot of decorative accents made from natural materials like wood, glass, and concrete. These are especially great if your home is in the Modern Farmhouse, Shabby Chic, or Rustic Chic decor style.
The Lakeside Collection is a great place to check out if you’re looking for unique finds for your home.
They offer really interesting designs for things like silverware organizers, coffee mug racks, and other household items.
They’re a little bit like Kohl’s in that they have home decor, bed and bath, and kitchen and dining categories alongside clothing and jewelry.
The Lakeside Collection is very much so set up like a traditional department store.
That being said, there’s far more in the “home” category than there is in the clothing and accessories section of the website.
This makes it a great place to browse if you’re looking for something unique for your home but don’t have anything specific in mind.
You’ll find home accessories like wall signs, decorative storage containers, and organizers priced affordably here.
6. Home Depot
I love the Home Depot for home decor. I talked about this at length in a post I wrote called Home Depot’s Hidden Gems.
Lots of people don’t even know that Home Depot has home decor let alone that they acquired the Home Decorators brand. This brand reportedly has the largest inventories of decorative items for the home.
You can find absolutely anything you need at the Home Depot.
Whether you’re looking for vases, wall art, wallpaper, outdoor entertaining, or furniture, absolutely everything is at homedepot.com.
I highly recommend checking them out. Their prices are great and they have one of the largest selections of home goods online.
I’m not sure how to describe the style of the items at touchofclass.com. You kind of have to see it to understand.
Everything here is stately. The closest style I can match their inventory to would be baroque.
The bedding, home accessories, and window treatments are super ornate.
In my opinion, the name of the site says it all. If you’re looking for something that looks really sophisticated and classy (estate sale vibes), but on a budget, this is the place for you.
Build.com is another home improvement type of store that also carries home decor like The Home Depot.
The prices here are going to be a little bit higher than those at Home Depot, however. That being said, you’ll also find brands that you won’t find at the Home Depot.
Their lamp and lighting collection is amazing. I also like to visit their site when I’m shopping for vases and wall decor. Their style is very sleek, contemporary, and modern.
If you haven’t heard yet, Dollar General launched a new brand called Pop Shelf.
There are only a few physical store locations right now in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia.
Kathryn from Do It On A Dime gave a tour of one of the stores in her area on her YouTube channel.
It looks like a mash-up between a Daiso and an Ikea.
Based on what I can see on their website the price point of the home decor items at Pop shelf range between $1 and $12.
While you can technically shop on the website, there are no delivery options. You have to pick up your order in-store.
So, it will be a while before the masses will be able to access their inventory.
But, if you are one of the lucky ones with a Pop Shelf location near you I would definitely stop in. This may well become one of the most popular cheap home decor websites around.
Decor steals is a really interesting website.
They’re essentially a deals website much like Zulily but with a twist.
They also have curated home decor boxes called the Steal It Box for sale as well. This box is available quarterly for $99 and includes 7 high-quality pieces.
While I’ve never been a really big fan of the idea of a home decor box, this is one I’d tell anyone to check out.
For me, this checks two major boxes. The first being the ability to see exactly what I’m getting before I purchase. I don’t like mysteries when it comes to decor.
The second being the size and quality of the items. There are no nick-nacks here. These are real decorative accents.
I think their boxes are incredibly priced and an amazing deal. Aside from a few mentions on Instagram, I haven’t heard as much buzz about this website as it deserves.
At first glance City Furniture looks like your standard run-of-the-mill furniture store like Ashley HomeStore or Rooms To Go.
But, if you look at the home accents they offer you’ll see they are anything but run of the mill.
This is why I’m including them on this list of cheap home decor websites despite them technically being a furniture store.
They have great tabletop accents like trays, vases, and figurines. Their ceramic planter sets are also highly rated are offered at some of the best prices I’ve seen ever.
There are decorative pillows, rugs, and wall art to choose from as well.
If you think Hobby Lobby is just about crafts think again.
They have a fantastic selection of home decor. In fact, I’d say half of their store (if not more) is dedicated to home decor.
The crafting, hobby, and sewing supplies run along the peripheral of the store with the decor front and center.
It’s almost an inverse of Michael’s Arts & Crafts store. When you go into Michael’s it’s overwhelmingly a craft and a hobby store with a few aisles dedicated to decor.
As far as decorative styles go, Hobby Lobby has a little bit of everything. You can find glam home accessories alongside contemporary and farmhouse decor.
I’ve also never encountered anything cheap or flimsy from their store.
The best part about shopping at Hobby Lobby by far is their sales.
When things go on sale at Hobby Lobby they are heavily discounted. And the fact that they have such high-quality pieces marked down 40% and 50% off several times per year always lures me back.
If you’re in search of lamps, chandeliers, or high-end looking Decor that still affordable you should absolutely go to lampsplus.com. they also have a really incredible selection of accent Furniture particularly console tables and side tables but you should expect to pay a little bit more for these high-end styles. The lamps however you’ll find an amazing deal on at lampsplus.com
If you want really high-end look and a designer name, Nordstrom Rack is where you want to go. LastCall by Neiman Marcus is another option, but I find the home accessories to be much more affordable at Nordstrom Rack.
Most of the selection landing under $30. The prices on bedding sets are very reasonable as well.
Last but not least is Pepper and Vetiver.
The style of the items on this site is right up my alley. They’re sophisticated and contemporary while also being soft and understated.
Pepper and Vetiver carry a lot of trendy home items like those half wood and half white serving boards.
They also have a lot of matte black and matte white pottery and decor along with pieces full of texture.
In my opinion, this site down an amazing job at keeping up with the current home decor trends while also keeping prices low.
If you’re been drooling over your favorite Instagrammer’s home and have been wondering where they find all their cool decor, check out this site.
You’ll be surprised how many things look familiar to you.
