What goes around comes around.  No truer words have ever been said.  When it comes to fashion and decor, trends ebb and glow like waves.  This year, brass is back.

Brass home decor was very prominent in the 70’s with clean lines and a modern style.

Today we’re seeing brass in many styles, including the original modern vibes, contemporary styles, and ornate Indian brass decor.

Why I Love Brass Decor

What I love most about this trend is its easy implementation.  Some styles are best experienced on a large scale.  Think tufted sofas, ottomans, and headboards which have been popular for several years now.

Brass decor on the other hand is best in small doses.  This makes it easy and manageable for a room makeover.  Table accents, cabinet hardware, and wall decor are great ways to incorporate brass home decor.

This metal staple will give your space a classy, vintage look.

Also, if you’ve been wanting to mix a rich metal tone into your decor, but do not like high shine gold, brass is a great alternative.

I’ve gathered a few examples of brass decor below that will make beautiful additions to any room.

6 Ways to Use Brass In Your Home

1. Candleholders

These petite tealight holders from Ballard Designs are a great brass accent piece. This set of four can be artfully arranged on your coffee table, end tables, desktop, or counter.

One of our favorites is this mirror from West Elm.  It can be hung horizontally or vertically to add a touch of brass to your walls.
