Want to create a stunning centerpiece in under 15 minutes for less than $15? This DIY hydrangea bowl centerpiece is the perfect project!

Whether you’re hosting a gathering, refreshing your dining table, or just love fresh flowers, this simple arrangement brings effortless elegance to any space.

With just a few budget-friendly supplies, you’ll have a gorgeous floral display that looks like it came straight from a high-end boutique.

Let’s get started!

Easy Spring Hydrangea Bowl Centerpiece

Using a large, shallow decorative bowl or planter you can easily recreate this gorgeous floral centerpiece.

Hydrangeas are great for spring and summer and Dollar Tree has a nice selection of colors available this time of year.

Tulips, lavender, or roses are alternative options that would give you a nice structured look as well.

By using faux florals you can place this arrangement in a variety of spots without concern for natural light or the need to keep it watered.

An entryway console table, a bathroom counter, or a coffee table are all good options.

Supplies You’ll Need

I made this spring hydrangea bowl centerpiece using all faux hydrangea stems in a fushia color from Dollar Tree. But you can, of course, use any floral you’d like or mix different types of florals for a new look.

I used 9 stems to fill my 12-inch bowl (which is the Better Homes and Gardens 12″ Fischer Ceramic Planter).

Here’s a full list of the items needed.

Instructions

Step 1:

Start off by snipping all of your price stickers, then snipping each stem from the bunch.
I tend to cut my stems right where the bunch fuses together to maintain as much length as possible.

Step 2:

Next, slide the leaves of each stem all the way up so that they are nestled right under the flower head.

Step: 3

Now place your floral foam at the bottom of your bowl. If you have a larger bowl like me you may need two pieces to span the width of the bowl.

Note: Leave the cellophane wrapping on the foam. This will prevent the foam from crumbling everywhere and making a mess.

Step 4:

Begin inserting the flowers into the foam. Start with creating a first row of flowers all the way around the perimeter of the bowl, then spiral inward to fill in the center.

Step 5:

Finally, examine your arrangement to look for gaps and fill them in with additional flowers. Reposition flowers as necessary to create a full rounded shape.

Final Look

That’s it! This is a fast and easy DIY project. I used fushia hydrangeas for spring but you can easily recreate these bowl centerpieces for each season with new florals.

I created two of these for each end of my formal dining table. I love the way they look. Here’s another look at the final results.
